国の伝統的工芸品に指定された「美濃和紙」

 清流長良川と自然豊かな山々に囲まれた岐阜県の中心部に位置する美濃市では、

1300年以上続く美濃和紙作りが地域の産業として継承されています。

美濃手すき和紙協同組合は、組合員の相互協調、意思確認のもとに伝統工芸品産業支援事業を

活用して以下の事業を推進して参ります。

産地振興・後継者の育成と確保・需要の開拓により産地の活性化を目指します。

美濃和紙製品の販売

地元美濃和紙の里会館や東京の伝統工芸品産業振興協会の青山スクエアなどで美濃手すき和紙と関連の商品を販売しています。

職人の育成

培われてきた手てすき和紙技術を継承し、紙漉き職人の後継者となる人材を募集し、また育成・支援をしています。

美濃手漉き和紙の啓発

美濃市総合フェア等のイベントで本物の美濃和紙に触れていただこうと、こだわりの紙すき体験を実施しています。


美濃手すき和紙とは


1300年の歴史を持つ美濃和紙は、古来より現代に至るまで、その高い品質でい つの時代も高く評価されてきました。  長良川・板取川の美しい水に育まれて受け継いできた、柔らかく、繊細でありな がら強靭で、美しい美濃手すき和紙。  主な原料は、用途に合わせて楮(こうぞ)・三椏(みつまた)・雁皮(がんぴ)が使わ れます。  今、伝統の技術は長い歴史の中で進化を遂げ、多くの用途に対応した多様な和 紙が生産されています。  美濃手すき和紙は、日本の伝統的な生活スタイルや、現代の生活の様々なシー ンで使用され、また、世界の文化財修復の現場でも活躍しています。  これからも美濃手すき和紙は、職人の手により、伝統と多様性を尊びながら未 来に向かって発展していきます。

 なお、美濃の手すき和紙は「美濃和紙」として昭和60年(1985年)に国の伝統的 工芸品に指定されています。

 

Mino Tesuki-washi

With a history spanning 1,300 years, Mino washi paper has been highly valued for its high quality in every era, from ancient times up to the present.

Nurtured by the beautiful waters of the Nagara and Itadori Rivers, Mino handmade washi paper is soft and delicate yet strong and beautiful.

The main materials used to make it are mulberry (kozo), Oriental paperbush, and gampi.

The traditional techniques used today are the result of a long history of evolution, and a wide variety of types are produced to accommodate numerous applications.

Mino handmade washi paper is used both in traditional Japanese lifestyles and in various aspects of modern life. It is also used for restoring cultural properties around the world.

In the future, Mino handmade washi paper will continue to be developed by forward- looking artisans with respect for tradition and diversity.

Mino Handmade washi paper was designated as a traditional craft of Japan under the name “Mino washi” in 1985.


美濃和紙は、経済産業大臣指定の伝統的工芸品です。


伝統マークは、経済産業大臣指定伝統的工芸品のシンボルマークです。 経済産業大臣が指定した技術・技法・原材料で制作され、産地検査に合格した製品 には、伝統マークのデザインを使った「伝統証紙」が貼られています。この伝統証 紙が貼られている製品は、検査を実施したものであり、品質について誇りと責任を もってお届けする製品です。

 

The Dento logo is a symbol for traditional crafts designated by the Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry (METI).

Products that are made using skills, techniques, and raw materials designated by METI and that pass a local inspection receive a“Dento certification sticker”that uses the Dento logo design. Products bearing the Dento certification sticker have been tested and found to deliver quality, something that is both a responsibility and a source of pride.

100年以上前から今日まで続いている伝統的な技術や技法で作られたも のです。

They are made using traditional skills and techniques that have been preserved for over 100 years up to the present day.

品質の維持や持ち味を出すために、主要な部分が100年以上前から今日 まで伝統的に使用されてきた材料でできています。

Their main components are made from materials traditionally used for over 100 years up to the present day in order to maintain quality and preserve the essence of the product.

一定の地域において、ある程度の規模を形成してつくられてきたものです。
